CDC Software and Application Development

Developers at S&K Global Solutions have teamed with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) IT Security Office for the migration of a major data information center from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013. The update will give users a more application-based product, which will shorten response time for critical projects. Key components of the crucial database receive support, including design, development, and maintenance.

Above is a sample screenshot from Ebola Response Task Dashboard.

Our developer has a very active role not only in coding but also acting as an integrated project team member bringing new technologies and approaches, along with ascertaining unique office needs in his role as an analyst and advocate in expanding SharePoint usage.

A second project with the CDC puts an S&K Global Solutions software developer within the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disability. Our employee assists with the development and continuous quality improvement of several web-based systems called the Disability and Health Data System (DHDS) and EHDI Data Analysis and Statistical Hub (DASH)

This sample meeting agenda homepage is web-based and access can be limited to select team members. Adding notes, documents, and images is easy.

As an integrated project team member on both efforts, we employ .NET tools for data visualization, system analysis, standardizing templates, ascertaining server requirements for hosting upgrades, aligning metadata and tables for upgraded capability.

To see the impact and influence of these programs, visit the DHDS dashboard at http://dhds.cdc.gov/ and the EHDI-DASH site at http://ehdidash.cdc.gov/ias_webapp/default.aspx.
